Once a biscuit factory, now the cultural hotspot of Den Bosch. With two theatre halls, five cinemas, a café-restaurant, clubroom, shop and multiple rehearsal rooms, there is always something to do.
We are open every day from 11am, including the café-restaurant. In 2023 we received more than 230,000 visitors for our program with film, theatre, cabaret, dance, music, children’s performances, festivals and events.
Maker house
The Verkadefabriek is a makers’ house, where artists inspire the audience and each other. We work intensively with six theatre and dance companies, our home companies. And we’re making room for new creators. We make the Studio available to young makers for free. In the Verkadefabriek Atelier you can experiment freely with multimedia as an up-and-coming artist. We offer artists training and masterclasses. For the audience there are inspiring workshops by makers and we offer an insight into the making process during presentations and open rehearsals.
We believe that art and creativity contribute to a better society. We encourage this in the Verkadefabriek; a house for inspiration, meeting and development. We take a playful approach and an open mind. We want to be a safe place in the city, where you can be who you are.
