Since 1964 the Stadsschouwburg Eindhoven has existed, which has been called Parktheater Eindhoven from 2007. A theatre with a Duke Jan room (944 seats), a Philips room (510 seats) and a Kameleon room (150 places). Parktheater is also a founder and member of the Pand P cooperative, a theatre with a large hall (110 seats), central hall (56 seats) and a small hall (25 places).
Already at the time of birth in 1964, the Parktheater was given the mission to provide residents of the city and region with multiple perspectives, cultures, tastes and colors. The words we made in the modern mission symbol: Hit Each Other. In the meantime, that has evolved to offer more perspective, more actively translated into the mission More Than You…
In recent years, the Parktheater has developed from mainly provider of performances in-house for its own public to also co-creator of activities, performances, initiatives that affect and connect people. Both in-house and outside your own home, for both the well-known and the unknown public, for both theatre lovers and enthusiasts with a distance to the theatre market.
The main objective of the Parktheater is to offer a wide and diverse offer for a large and wide audience.
