About Leiden English Theatre
Leiden English Theatre is an English language theatre group. It was set up a little over 20 years ago in association with the English department at Leiden University. Its aim: to introduce freshman of Leiden University to the world of English theatre. Since that time LET has come a very long way. We are no longer part of the English Department although we still welcome students from the English Department. LET is open for all for auditions & collaboration.
Over time we have evolved into a successful amateur theatre group, casting more experienced actors as well as complete beginners, and staging at least one English language play each year.
There is more to LET than just rehearsals, there is also a strong emphasis on collaboration – we want to foster a strong community who cares not only about performing, but supporting each-other through every aspect of the creative world.
